ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW The Georgia Bankers Association Insurance Trust (“GBAIT”) is a Section 501(c)(9) tax exempt voluntary employee beneficiary association that provides group insurance benefits to eligible employees of members of the Georgia Bankers Association (“GBA”) that participate in the GBAIT. The GBAIT wholly owns Paragon Benefits, Inc. (“Paragon”), a for-profit entity that is engaged in processing medical and dental claims. The GBA is a nonprofit corporation and is a trade association for the Georgia banking industry whose purpose is to educate and inform its members about banking trends and issues so they may more effectively serve their customers.
