We are looking to add a Mergers & Acquisitions Integration Manager to our Mergers & Acquisitions team. This individual is responsible for the oversight and execution of the Integration Management Office (IMO). This individual will collect and organize operational due diligence information, prepares for day one readiness, and completes post-close integration. What you will be doing:
Create and execute acquisition integration plans incorporating common methodologies to track planning, scheduling, output, and reporting.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), value creation, and profit & loss (P&L) statements of acquired businesses as an indication of the effectiveness of the integration plan and execution.
Partner with executives to determine value drivers, understand deal context, raise important risks, and provide necessary updates.
Collaborate on, direct, and control large, complex integrations; ensure integrations have an articulated charter, scope, quantifiable success factors, and strong governance.
Operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends; provide general consulting services leveraging expertise and significant best practice knowledge.
Manage activities of workstreams and resources to ensure momentum and timely achievement of expectations; partner with stakeholders to anticipate and resolve conflicts and deliver actionable resolutions.
Create and maintain integration documentation, including charters and plans that specify goals, execution approach, staffing and scheduling.
Develop communication plans and status reports; deliver timely and effective updates via stakeholder meetings to employees and other impacted groups.
Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on abilities of team.
Identify and manage scope change and risks for integrations.
Support corporate development in several areas, including but not limited to: monitoring the competitive landscape and screening potential transactions for internal and external deal sources and with strategic deal structuring.
Operate as an innovative thought leader; contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends.
Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
What will make you successful:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
7 years of work experience in M&A
Experience managing cross-functional integrations
Experience in leading complex post acquisition activities in technology companies
Experience in developing and implementing new strategies
Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with executive presence
Excellent collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
Excellent facilitation and project management skill
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
Microsoft Windows and Office proficient
Excellent leadership, sound judgement, and business acumen skills
Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate and mobilize team members and business partners
Excellent ability to develop and use engaging, informative and compelling presentation methodologies
Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Excellent ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others; effective at gaining consensus
Ability to coach, mentor and provide feedback to team members in a timely manner
Proficient skills in using Project Management tools and methodologies
Up to 40% travel time required
