Jackson Electric Cooperative, a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility, located in Black River Falls, Wisconsin seeks a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO is responsible for the overall financial and accounting functions of the Cooperative including financial reporting, audits, internal controls, information management systems, cash management, taxes, facilities, fleet, inventory, and purchasing.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field is required.
A minimum of six years’ experience in a progressively responsible financial and accounting position is required, preferably with a consumer-owned or publicly-held utility system. A minimum of three years’ experience in managing the work of others, and maintaining effective relationships, both within and outside the organization, is required.
CPA is preferred
Must possess a thorough working knowledge of financial and cash management, financial reporting, capital planning, budgeting and forecasting, data analytics, internal controls, audit requirements, taxes, investments, insurance and risk management, plant accounting, consumer billing and collection practices, strategic planning, and data processing systems is required. Established proficiency in financial analysis required. A working knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts of the RUS is highly desirable.
Strong leadership skills, proven business acumen, and strong people management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills are required.
Must possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Must be proficient with NISC software within 180 days of hire date.
