Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer University of California Los Angeles

Position Description: The incumbent manages daily and long-term activities of the executive office of the Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer. The incumbent's duties are carried out at the highest level of the institution, involving close coordination with the offices of the Chancellor, the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, other vice chancellors and academic deans, and includes significant contact with all areas of the campus. Other liaison duties include the UC Office of the President and other UC campuses; multiple areas of California state government, including the Governor's Office, the Legislature, the Department of Finance, and the Legislative Analyst; offices of the federal government, businesses, universities, and non-profit organizations.
The incumbent is responsible for administrative planning, office management, communications, analysis, and writing. The incumbent responds to activities, issues and initiatives of the Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer in an environment of complexity and urgency that requires creative action, often at times that are not standard to the regular work day.
