Position Summary: Reporting to the Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent provides administrative oversight and coordination of the division's business operations including budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, human resources, and general administration. The incumbent may also manage or assist with systemwide programs or projects that affect the CFO division.

Responsible the development of the CFO division's annual budget, in consultation with the department heads. The incumbent will work with the UCOP Budget Office to input the data by required deadlines, monitor progress and provide quarterly reporting, as needed. Recommend budget strategies to the Chief of Staff in order to support the division's mission. Participate in long-range planning activities and ensure thorough planning of department projects, developing accurate budgets. and prospectively collaborating with department heads to assess staffing needs and other resource requirements. Represent the CFO division to other UC offices in regards to budget planning and administration issues.
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience as well as minimum of 3 years in business services. Required
Detail-oriented with the proven ability to work with and manage large amounts of complex financial data and prepare detailed financial analyses, budgets and recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to focus on key issues, research, gather and integrate information and lead or participate with others across organizational and institutional lines in developing a wide range of qualified resources and data as the basis for formulating recommendations and developing approaches to resolving issues and problems.
Advanced knowledge of common computer application programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Excellent oral communications skills which demonstrate the ability to effectively convey and explain information, influence outcomes and tactfully deal with diverse people, situations and ideas. Also, excellent written communications skills which demonstrate the ability to draft clear, concise correspondence, documentation and reports.
Demonstrated management skills including the ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities in managing a wide range of projects.
Demonstrated ability to work well with staff at all levels of the organization. Required
