The Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Inc. (FICPA), representing Florida’s Certified Public Accounting profession, with a combined budget across five entities of $8.5M seeks a new Chief Financial Officer. We are looking for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with at least 10 years progressive work experience in financial and IT management to join our team in Orlando, Florida.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, you will serve as a key member of the FICPA’s senior leadership team and will oversee all financial and information technology functions and teams. You will be responsible for oversight of all IT functions including management, communications to and performance of our outsourced IT providers. You will work collaboratively across all levels of the organization, including working with the leadership team, Board members, Board oversight committees (Finance, Audit, and Investment Advisory), and organizational members in executing decisions with financial or technology implications impacting the FICPA.
You will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial activities of the organization while collaborating with department directors to develop and implement sound financial strategies in support of the organization’s strategic priorities. You will also evaluate and advise on short- and long-range planning as well as new strategic directives, while overseeing cash flow and management, financial assets, and retirement investments. Additionally, some background leading IT operations to upgrade accounting/reporting systems and implementation is strongly preferred.
We prefer a seasoned and mature leader, with a CPA license strongly preferred; a minimum of 5 years of Chief Financial Officer or Controller level finance and operational management experience, preferably in the not-for-profit sector, or experience in public accounting with a specialty serving not-for-profit clients.
