The Educational Health Center of Wyoming (EHCW) is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Business Operations, which is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As a member of the C-suite, the CFO will participate in the financial and functional decision-making processes necessary for the successful attainment of the mission of the EHCW. The EHCW is a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) - designated Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The EHCW is a HRSA co-applicant with the University of Wyoming (UW), and is closely associated with the University’s Family Medicine Residency Program. The CFO reports to the CEO and the EHCW’s Board of Directors.
Currently, the EHCW is comprised of three clinical centers. Two clinical centers are located in Casper and Cheyenne and are part of the longstanding UW Family Medicine Residency Program. These centers train 6-8 Resident Physicians per class, leading to board certification in Family Medicine. A third clinical site—the Albany Community Health Clinic—opened in Laramie in May 2017, and it is funded by a New Access Point grant from HRSA. All three clinical centers are considered part of a single FQHC and must comply with the policies and regulations prescribed by HRSA. The Family Medicine Residency Program is administered by College of Health Sciences at the University of Wyoming.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall financial operations of accounting, budgetary, audits, and other financial planning activities.
Providing financial leadership to staff, and the EHCW board.
Ensure that all University of Wyoming and federal regulations (policies and processes) are adhered to.
Contributing financial expertise in daily operations of the clinics.
Managing costs by continually seeking data that will identify opportunities to reduce costs, without reducing services.
Knowledge of the federal grant writing, monitoring, and reporting.
Understand the State of Wyoming legislative processes and State of Wyoming budgeting processes.
Understanding of the University of Wyoming WyoCloud financial, PPM and HCM systems.
Working with management to develop and implement policies and procedures, short- and long-range goals, objectives and plans.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Demonstrated ability to cope with and manage change, and self-motivation.
Experience to include strategic oversight with an emphasis on financial reporting analysis and cash flow management;
Revenue cycle knowledge and problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and listening skills.
Must be proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information concerning personal, financial or medical matters.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field required.
