As a member of the executive team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the Vice President of Finance and Chief Business Officer and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the university. The Chief Financial Officer will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include oversight for accounting, finance, forecasting, and strategic planning.
The role of the Chief Financial Officer is to preserve and enhance CDU's assets in order to achieve CDU's Vision, implement its Mission, and promote its Values. The Chief Financial Officer promotes the financial well-being of the University by providing budget management, monitoring appropriate investments of temporary cash balances, exercising executive control over University budgets, and safeguarding all financial assets of the University. The Chief Financial Officer staffs certain Board of Trustees Committees which guides and advises the Vice President of Finance and Chief Business Officer and the President and CEO. In these various roles, the Chief Financial Officer has a broad and encompassing impact on the broad array of affairs and activities of the University
Regionally accredited bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA
10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in real estate development, property management and/or construction industry.
Current Certified Public Accountant License required.
