The Vice President & CFO is responsible for all financial operations for the North Carolina bankers Association and its subsidiaries, is a member of the senior management team and reports directly to the President and CEO. Responsibilities include directing the annual budget processes, financial statement preparation and analysis, oversight of operations and the operations team, and reporting on all financial matters to the NCBA Board of Directors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounting and Administration- Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems. - Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures. - Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. - Ensure compliance regarding all financial matters.
Planning and Budgeting - Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets. - Develop financial business plans and forecasts. - Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the management team. - Engage the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors in the annual audit.
Team Management - Mentor and develop a team of three direct reports, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
Accounting Activities- Oversee preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements. - Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
Cash Management- Oversee cash management and association investments.
Information Technology – Oversee IT operations for the organization.
Human Resources – Oversee human resources, including payroll, 401K administration, and employee policies.
