The CFO is responsible for the financial integrity of RMHMC/RMHP. Provides strategic and oversight responsibility for financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems; legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial functions, underwriting; and financial analysis. Primary Responsibilities:Works collaboratively with the President/CEO and Senior Leadership Group in accordance with the Mission and Values of the company to assist in maintaining and enhancing RMHP's reputation as the leader in managed health care. Provides leadership by example to embed the organizational philosophy and cultureRespect confidentiality and maintain confidences as described in the Confidentiality Security Agreement that is signed by all employees. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a critical and essential component of this positionOversees and provides long-range strategic guidance for RMHMC/RMHP. Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decisions that affect the organization. Participates with the senior management team in long and short range strategic and operational planningShares responsibility for all aspects of the company's business strategy and its executionOversees the development, planning, and direction of financial functions and staff, including all financial reporting, accounting, underwriting, and related regulatory compliance requirementsOversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial analysis systems to include competitor tracking and comparative analysis, trend analysis, service cost and profitability analysisResponsible for the budgeting process. Responsible for the systems to monitor P&L according to budget projections, to report variances and to provide senior management with timely financial reports, providing the basis for corrective actionEvaluates banking relationships, develops plan to establish and maintain new relationships as requiredProvides oversight of the management and maintenance of systems and processes needed to assure the integrity of financial reporting for both internal operations and external reporting. Responsible for the financial information presented to the BoardsSelect, train, develop, appraise, and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions. Provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills. Takes corrective action as needed on a timely basis and in accordance with company policyConsults with HR as appropriateThis position requires travelRequires independent, reliable, flexible, and on-demand, transportation at the incumbent's expense for travel between various locations and timely arrival and departure from various locations. If the employee chooses to satisfy this requirement by driving a vehicle, the employee must meet the requirements for Colorado licensure and company requirements for liability insurance coverage.
