The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all financial activities as well as specific non-clinical operations areas of Hospice of Southern Illinois. Under the direction of the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer provides supervision and leadership oversight of the information management, accounting and facilities/purchasing departments as well as contributes to the development of the organization’s financial and strategic goals.
Master’s Degree in accounting, business administration or finance.
Certified Public Accountant designation required.
Seven years’ experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-facet direction and planning.
Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance billing.
Experience with investment management.
Familiarity with applicable local, state and federal regulations related to hospice operations.
Knowledge of database and accounting computer applications to supply financial information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
Willingness to travel within the geographic boundaries of Hospice of Southern Illinois.
